About Us

Marmalade Productions aims to provide our clients with affordable, efficient, time-definite and value for money service. We further aim to establish a brand that is synonymous with all these values and hence to give our clients peace of mind as to the professionalism of our company.

Marmalade Productions was formed by Godfrey Vollenhoven who has a background of 25 years in the entertainment and sound industry. This includes the planning, production, organization and performance at various entertainment events. These events includes conferences, workshops, weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, team building events, matric balls, concerts and live shows. In addition to this he has been active in the management of artists, performers and celebrities. Over the 25 year career he has built up an impressive sound system that enables the company to take on events from the simplest of house parties to big concerts. Owning the equipment enables us to always offer competitive prices to our clients as no/very little equipment has to be hired depending on the size of the event. In 2009 Marmalade Productions was responsible for various events ranging from weddings, corporate events, workshops, music festivals, conferences and matric balls to big entertainment concerts such as the “Divas Cape Town concert”, “Divas in the desert” and the “Die Son Divas Road show” that happened more recently. Marmalade Productions also conceptualized and managed the DIVAS CAPE TOWN 2011 concert held at the Grand Arena at the Grand West casino that attracted close to 5000 patrons. Our most recent events was the DIVOS CAPE TOWN 2011 concert and DUETS 2012 event which featured Cape Town’s top male & female entertainers and attracted capacity crowds of 5000 patrons to the Grand Arena at GrandWest Casino.

In addition to these concerts we have been involved in community events such as the “Crime stop” initiative which was held at various schools around Cape Town back in 1999. We have further been involved with the booking and managing of events of various corporate entities around the Cape metro pole. Artists that we have worked with include many of South Africa’s top acts. Amongst these acts include Boomshaka, Prophets of da city, Brasse vannie Kaap, D’Low, Malaika, Mandoza, Loyiso Bala, Garth Taylor, Jae, Redd Angel, East Coast Flava, DJ Ready D, TK, Karin Kortje, Jody Williams, Claire Phillips, Sasha Lee Davids and many more.
One of our most recent events was the management and co-ordination of the Langa Music Festival in conjunction with the Department of Arts and Culture that featured 35 music groups from the Langa area.

Undoubtedly our proudest event was when Marmalade Productions was selected to construct, manage and co-ordinate the Host City Volunteer center on behalf of the City of Cape Town for the FIFA 2010 World Cup. We were responsible for creating three areas i.e. a chill room area, catering area and construct an office area from which all operations for the Host City volunteers was coordinated and managed from for the duration of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Our duties for the duration of the World Cup included the running of the three areas and provide logistical, administrative, IT and backup support for the Host City management team, administrative staff and volunteers.
Following on the success and confidence imposed by our management and co-ordination skills, we were asked to manage and co-ordinate the Host City Volunteer Party on behalf of City of Cape Town and Sale Stade France at the Cape Town Stadium.
